Certifications and micro-credentials
What is the difference between a certification and an ADI micro-credential?
A certification (for example SAFe® Agilist) is issued by the accrediting body — Scaled Agile or ICAgile — after a live class (plus Scaled Agile’s exam for SAFe courses). An ADI micro-credential is issued by ADI when you pass a level of one of our self-paced courses. It shows a practical skill; it is not a SAFe, ICAgile or university certification.
Who issues my SAFe or ICAgile certification?
The accrediting body, under its own rules. ADI teaches the class. Scaled Agile sets the exam and issues SAFe certifications, which are renewed with Scaled Agile each year. ICAgile issues its certification when you complete an accredited class and take an active part — there is no separate ICAgile exam.
Is the certification exam included in the class price?
Yes. A SAFe class includes your first attempt at Scaled Agile’s exam and the certification itself; any retake fees are set by Scaled Agile. ICAgile classes have no exam, and the certification is included.
How can an employer check my ADI micro-credential?
Share your credential link, or ask them to enter your credential ID on our Verify page. It confirms the credential against our records.
Self-paced courses
I lost the link to my course. How do I get back in?
Go to Lost your course link? and enter the email you enrolled with. We email your personal link to that address.
Can I get a refund on a self-paced course?
Yes — a full refund within 14 days of purchase, as long as you haven’t passed any level and earned a credential. Email training@agiledevelopmentinstitute.com with your order number (it starts with ADI-).
I have a discount code. Where do I use it?
On the course page, choose “Have a discount code?” under the Enroll button and type it in. The discount shows on the payment page before you pay.
Live classes
What if I need to cancel my seat?
Cancel 14 or more days before the class starts for a full refund. Inside 14 days there is no refund, but you can use your one free change to move to another date.
Can I move to another date or send a colleague instead?
Yes, once and free of charge, any time before the class starts. Just email us with your order number.
Can you run a class just for our team?
Yes — live online or at your site, on dates that suit you. See Business Solutions.
